What the ship is about
Celebrity Apex comes in the Edge class - a brand new series of ships aimed at bringing passengers closer to the ocean through new features and spaces. Kelly Hoppen CBE was part of a team that included Tom Wright, Nate Berkus and Kelly Hoppen CBE to create the sleek, modern design.
The ship has a number of entertainment options, including the Eden Theatre which was recently remodeled. It now features one show every night on seven-night cruises. There are many entertainment options available on the ship, such as the Eden theatre. It has undergone a complete makeover and is now offering one show a night during seven-night voyages.
Staterooms and suites
There is a wide range of room categories available to accommodate every guest. From king size rooms to ultra luxurious suites such as Iconic Suites or Edge Villas. Many staterooms come with a balcony. Others have a large outdoor plunge swimming pool.
A touchscreen is also available in each stateroom, allowing you to adjust the lighting and temperature. Most staterooms have a king-size bed, while some are equipped with queen beds as well.

Children and teenagers
For kids, there's plenty to do on board Celebrity Apex, thanks to the cruise line's Camp at Sea program. With more than 500 activities that vary based on itinerary and guests there is something for everyone.
Enjoying the Food
On board there are a number of bars and restaurants, some free, others with a fee. We particularly liked Craft Social, which focuses on pub grub - including glazed chicken wings and truffle fries - but there are also a few main dining room options.
Oceanview Cafe's buffet is bigger and lighter than before, thanks to a double-height area that makes it seem spacious. There are some times when it's slow but you can find a variety of foods from all over the world.
Entertainment
It's a shame that the cruise line didn't have time to add more entertainment to Apex before our cruise - if it had, we could have had some really good nights out on board. Eden theatre was completely revamped, with each performance featuring a distinct theme. Night of Dreams is one, Night of Arts another, Night of Enchantment or Night of the Year.
The fitness center on the ship has been upgraded with new classes and equipment. It's a big step up from Edge. As with the rest Celebrity's fleet you can enjoy a spa or massage treatment while taking in the views.

On the Resort Deck you'll find a variety of fun activities. You can choose from the Magic Carpet that cantilevers 13 stories over the sea, so that you can enjoy dining at sea level and watching the sunset, or the Adults-Only Solarium which offers respite from sun.
There are many entertainment options, including comedy clubs, live shows, movies and games shows. The resort deck has its own swimming pool and a club that offers laser mazes as well games and kid-friendly activities.

How To
How to keep safe while on a cruiseship
Before you embark on your cruise, there are many things that you need to know. It is essential that you know how to behave while onboard a cruise ship so you don’t get into trouble. Here are some safety tips that will help you enjoy your trip.
-
Pay attention to your surroundings at all costs. People are more likely to be together when they're eating on a cruise ship than anywhere else. It's easy to become distracted from your duties because you're surrounded by people who want to chat and eat. Don't let this distract you from what you're supposed to do. If you spot someone using dangerous substances, such as smoking or alcohol, let them know politely.
-
Always keep your room key close to you when you board the ship, and hand over your room key to the person checking you in. You will be able to tell them where you are if they need you. Your passport is also important.
-
Keep valuables hidden from view. Most cabins include drawers under the beds. It is a good place to store valuables like money, credit cards, passports, etc. Be sure to keep nothing valuable out of plain sight. Keep your bags hidden in the closet.
-
Keep hydrated. While cruise ships have plenty of water, sometimes it can be difficult for passengers to remember to drink enough. You can take advantage of the complimentary bottled water onboard. Try to avoid getting dehydrated. Dehydration can lead to fatigue, crankiness, and even fights.
-
Be attentive to all announcements. Announcements can be found everywhere including on television screens and on public address systems. They contain safety procedures, emergency exits, weather reports, and more. These announcements should be heeded. They might save your life!
-
Lock your cabin door before you leave it. Never leave your cabin unlocked, no matter how friendly a crew member seems. Thieves can often get in through unlocked doors. Ask a crew member first if you need to use the bathroom.
-
Avoid going overboard alone. If you fall overboard, it takes time for the ship's crew to rescue you. Your body could be attracted by sharks or other sea animals. The best thing to do is wait until help arrives.
-
Smoking is not permitted in elevators. These elevators are pressured, which means smoke can quickly build up. If you feel dizzy or lightheaded, get off immediately. Although the air outside may be fresh, that doesn't mean your breathing is safe.
-
The evacuation procedure. Every year, many people die in elevators. If an emergency occurs, follow the instructions on the screen.
-
Learn the basics of the fire drill. Fire drills take place regularly, almost every day. Everyone on deck needs to evacuate during a drill. Follow the instructions of the crew members. Once the drill is over, you can go back to the cabin and lock the doors.
-
Ask questions before accepting food and drink. Cruisers are often concerned about food poisoning. It is common for people to not realize that certain foods can't be eaten onboard ships. Raw oysters, for example, are not allowed on most cruise ships. If you're not sure whether the food being served is safe, you can politely decline it and opt for another meal.
-
When using the pool, be careful. Many people have fallen into the pools by accident. If this happens to you, tread water until someone notices you. You may also slip and fall on the deck. You should always wear good footwear and be aware of your surroundings.
